Properties using RMS Pay EFTPOS terminals can now enable the optional Tipping/Gratuity feature, allowing guests to easily add a tip during the payment process. The tip amount is entered directly by the guest and processed together with the original transaction sent from RMS to the EFTPOS terminal.

Key Details:

RMS Pay Tipping is supported on all RMS Pay credit card terminals.
For properties using Dynamic Surcharging, the surcharge will apply to both the transaction amount and the tip.
For properties using standard Transaction Fees, the fee will apply only to the transaction amount, excluding the tip.

Dynamic Pricing is a feature available on a Rate Table that automatically adjusts the rate amount based on occupancy and time rules in RMS.  We have added a new feature when creating a reservation, on Save, if the quote returned is different from the one shown originally a pop up will appear advising the quote has changed and the value of the new quote.

No Show Fees can be setup to be applied to a reservation when set to 'No Show' status. We have made an improvement where the no show fee is now based off the total rate, this means it now includes exclusive packages, exclusive taxes and considers discounts.

An Inclusive Package Component set with Per Person Fees will use the number included for each Guest Type to determine how to apply the charges on the Reservation Account. We have improved this feature by allowing users to exclude all pax of a particular guest type by setting the number to include as 0.

Hold Amount on an Owner gives the ability to hold back money from being paid out to an owner to cover future expenses. We have improved this feature to allow users to remove the hold back amount from an old owner to allow them to be paid out their remaining funds.

We have implemented a Cookie Consent Management feature in our IBE to enhance transparency and ensure compliance with global privacy regulations.

This update allows customers to control their cookie preferences while booking, reinforcing trust and security. The feature is now live, and our support team is available for any questions.

Some rate types are not appearing on the Internet Booking Engine (IBE) even when the Online Options setting is configured to "Show All Rates."

We’ve resolved the issue where payments made through the Guest Portal using the RMSPay gateway were not processing in the PMS. All transactions are now processing correctly.

No further action is required, but we recommend reviewing recent transactions to ensure everything is in order. Thank you for your patience while we worked on this.

We’ve resolved two issues in the Guest Portal to ensure accurate booking and compliance with property rules:

Correct Additional Guest Rates:

The Guest Portal now accurately reflects additional guest charges based on the rate table.

Max Pax Limit Enforcement:

The maximum occupancy (Max Pax) limits are now correctly enforced at the rate type level. Guests can no longer add more occupants than allowed per the rate table, maintaining consistency with property policies.

These updates improve pricing accuracy and booking reliability.
