Enhance Guest Experience with Tipping on RMS Pay Terminals

Give your guests the option to show appreciation! The new Tipping/Gratuity feature on RMS Pay EFTPOS terminals makes it easy for guests to add a tip during payment.

Why It Matters:

Offering a simple way to add gratuity not only enhances the guest experience but also boosts staff satisfaction. Previously, RMS Pay terminals did not include a tipping option, making it less convenient for guests to leave a tip.

How It Works:

  • Guests can enter their tip directly on the RMS Pay terminal during the transaction process.
  • The tip amount is processed alongside the original transaction, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Dynamic Surcharging: The surcharge applies to both the transaction amount and the tip.
  • Standard Transaction Fees: The fee applies only to the transaction amount, not the tip.

Stay Informed with Real-Time Rate Change Alerts

Never miss an important rate adjustment! Our new User Warning on Rate Change feature ensures you’re always in the loop when reservation quotes change.

Why It Matters:

Dynamic Pricing in RMS automatically adjusts rates based on occupancy and time rules. However, when making a reservation, rate changes can sometimes occur between the initial quote and saving the booking—potentially leading to unexpected pricing.

How It Works:

Now, when creating a reservation, if the saved quote differs from the originally displayed rate, a pop-up alert will appear, notifying you of the updated amount. This real-time warning helps you stay informed, maintain pricing accuracy, and avoid surprises.

Enhanced No Show Fee Calculation: Accurate and Inclusive

Avoid revenue loss with improved No Show Fee Inclusions, now calculated based on the total rate, including packages, taxes, and discounts.

Why It Matters:

Previously, No Show Fees did not account for exclusive packages, taxes, or discounts, leading to inaccurate charges and potential loss of revenue.

How It Works:

With this improvement, No Show Fees will now be calculated based on the full reservation rate, factoring in any exclusive elements and discounts. This ensures that your fees are always accurate and comprehensive.

Share RMS Pay Tokens Across Properties within the same region

This new feature streamlines payment processes for multi-property customers by allowing them to utilize a single payment token across various locations, provided they are located in the same region. This enhancement not only simplifies financial operations but also enhances the guest experience by facilitating seamless transactions across properties.

Per Person Package

An Inclusive Package Component set with Per Person Fees will use the number included for each Guest Type to determine how to apply the charges on the Reservation Account. We have improved this feature by allowing users to exclude all pax of a particular guest type by setting the number to include as 0.

Hold Amount on an Owner

Hold Amount on an Owner gives the ability to hold back money from being paid out to an owner to cover future expenses. We have improved this feature to allow users to remove the hold back amount from an old owner to allow them to be paid out their remaining funds.

Issue with RMSPay Payments via Guest Portal

We’ve resolved the issue where payments made through the Guest Portal using the RMSPay gateway were not processing in the PMS. All transactions are now processing correctly.

No further action is required, but we recommend reviewing recent transactions to ensure everything is in order. Thank you for your patience while we worked on this.
