New Features and Enhancements Releasing February 2025

Hello RMS Community 👋

We're kicking off the new year with enhanced features designed to improve your RMS experience.

Features will be available in our live environment from 4th February in Australia and New Zealand, and rolling out to other regions through February and early March. International customers will be notified when live release items are available in their area.

Here’s a summary of the highlights:

New Features

*NEW Dynamic Surcharging available with RMS Pay | Recover your transaction costs by applying Dynamic Surcharging to different card types. Read more.
*NEW Gift Card Report | Analyse the gift cards you’ve sold to see their remaining value and how much has been redeemed. Read more.

Enhancements

Interactive Letters (Corporate Portal) | Send templated letters to your corporate accounts to streamline authorizations and corporate processes. Read more.
Bulk Updates for Scheduled Reports | Quickly update your scheduled reports adding new property or room types, security settings, frequency and more. Read more.
Restrict Rates to a Booking Window | Unlock more flexibility in promoting your rates through OTAs by restricting rates to a specific booking window. Read more.
Minimum Nights’ Stay | Optimise sales by adjusting minimum stay requirements dynamically, based on how far out the booking is. Read more.
Split Receipts on Group Master Accounts | Improve the way you process and manage large group bookings by allowing split receipts between group members. Read more.
Receipts for Pay By Links | Confirm guest payments with a receipt at the time of payment through Pay By Link with RMS Pay. Read more.

Multiple updates to Owner Accounting (Australia/New Zealand) | We've made multiple updates to Owner Accounting such as BPAY for Bendigo Bank and Macquarie Bank, EFT File Totals and new Tax ID number fields.
Direct Debits | Bank of New Zealand customers can now manage recurring transactions using direct debit. Automated direct debit payments are now available for UK customers through RMS Pay and BACS.

Integrations

Verifone Integration | Process receipts and refunds in real-time with this upgrade to our integration with Verifone’s payment gateway. Read more.

Job Map does not show areas with jobs assigned

Job Map does not show areas with jobs assigned it is expected that when hovering over the area, a wrench icon would be display so that the user is aware of active jobs

Package assigned against Property Rate Rule does not display on Reservation

Reservation displays a package on the reservation account however when opening the package component, it is blank which means the user cannot void the charge.

Tour Tickets

Tour Tickets is a ticket management dashboard to view and manage all existing tour tickets when using Tour Desk in RMS. $0 tours never use to show on this dashboard. We have now improved the dashboard to include $0 tours

Improvement to the Pay By Link dashboard

We have added a column to the Pay By Link dashboard for the reservations arrival date.

A Pay By link is normally tied to an account which means its not always associated with a reservation. However, in most use cases, a Pay By Link would be sent for collection of a deposit on a reservation.

By adding an arrival date column to the Pay By Link dashboard, our customers will be able to better to identify which payments are more pressing and take appropriate action.

Sun Newspaper Import

RMS will match when the primary guest is the same as first guest in the Sun Import file.

It was then discovered that the guest has the title of ‘Miss’ - the primary guest has four characters for its title field, the guest list only has three.

Will we now match the title on the first three letters. E.g. Miss will match to ‘Mis’.

RMS Pay Allow a Transaction to be completed without a CVV/ CVC

This update introduces a significant change, allowing transactions to be completed even when the CVV/CVC is not provided. This will help streamline processes and improve flexibility for users through the use of the Credit Card receipt option.

Cancelling Tours

The Tour Desk module enables centralized management of tour availability, schedules, and ticketing within RMS.

Tour inventory can be created to manage and allocate seating or entry with capacity limits and availability to simplify ticket allocation and staff rosters.

Tours can be setup to manage, promote, and sell entry or tickets to local attractions, events, activities, tours, or experiences available at the property or in the local area.

An issue was reported where users could not cancel a tour which was applied to an existing reservation in their system, this issue has since been rectified.

Dwelling Types

Dwelling Type is a Lookup Table that can be used to determine compatible Areas for a type of dwelling. All dwelling types use to showing on a reservation regardless if it was compatible for that reservation or not. We have made improvements to now only show dwelling types that are compatible to the reservation. This will save time and confusion for staff.
